R.I.M. Porter Novelli.
About Us

R.I.M. was founded in 1993, by Igor Pisarsky, former CEO of the first Russian PR agency Metro Press. Since its founding, R.I.M. has been a research hub, with significant influence on the development of the corporate communications industry in Russia.

In 1993, the Agency was among the initiators of the first industrial association (today, the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia), of which Igor Pisarsky was elected President, and is now Vice-President. The Association participated actively in the making of relevant legislation. In 1996-1997, in the course of preparations for the 850th anniversary of Moscow celebrations, the agency for the first time presented the technology of "sponsorship packages", which heralded a new standard of fundraising in Russia and totally changed the relationship pattern between donors and recipients of funds. In 1997, the Agency set up the national industrial award Silver Archer, in collaboration with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Russia and the Union of Journalists. To this day, the Agency is the sole administrator of the award. Following the financial crisis of 1998, several smaller companies were adjoined to the Agency, which facilitated the creation of one of the most effective regional communications services in the industry. In 1999, the Agency was named among the 5 leading companies in the market, according to the independent survey by ROMIR.

In 2000, the Agency joined forces with two other top 5 companies (Image-Contact and Mikhailov & Partners) to create a single entity, the Triangle group. This became a brand partner of Porter Novelli, one of the leading international PR agencies, and part of the world’s largest corporate communications group Omnicom. A year earlier, again with its future Triangle partners, the Agency started one of the first industry publications, a monthly "So-obschenie" (a humanitarian technologies magazine – now published in partnership with the Expert Publishing House). In 2002, according to the plans for further integration, the agency groups and team members of the Triangle Porter Novelli were united (with the exception of Mikhailov and Partners, which returned to independent activity), and the existing structure of R.I.M. PN was formed. This structure is based on divisions that we call "practices". The company substantially changed the mode of its operations, adding subscription services to project-type tasks.

Today, the Agency is firmly established in the top 3 leading companies of its sector (according to the most authoritative market surveys, conducted by Bashkirova and Partners). It offers cutting edge services in public relations and corporate communications. Its key competitive advantages include not only its role in the industry, but also an ability to plan and manage multi-level projects of any complexity, orientated towards concrete and measurable changes, along with its vast platform of technologies and experience of Porter Novelli, the recognised world leader in the quality of its services (PR Week Global Excellence Survey). The agency actively collaborates with the Institute of Communication Management of the Higher School of Economics and other academic institutions, professional associations and government structures, thus offering complete and effective expertise at the national and international level.

In 2003, the Agency carried out the first merger in corporate communications, purchasing RE:Public, which was then readapted for operating in the sector of marketing services. Today, R.I.M. PN is the centre of the R.I.M. communications group, which also includes My Choice (a coordination centre for educational programmes), Rakurs-PR (an independent PR-agency, working with special projects and focusing on avoiding interest clashes among clients using the Firewall method), Public Area (an agency created to meet the demands of IR) and several other companies In 2007, the Agency obtained a share in PR2, one of the Ukraine’s leading PR agencies, leading to the inclusion of the Ukraine in the sphere of PN presence.
